acetaminophen

This white, somewhat-water-soluble chemical is most widely known as an over-the-counter painkiller (analgesic) and fever reducer, but it is also used to make azo dyes and photographic chemicals. Acetaminophen melts at 168 C°. and can cause liver damage in high overdoses.
