hyoscyamine

A chemical with the formula C17H23O3N which is a white powder at room temperature and which melts at 108.5°C. It comes from plants such as henbane and belladona. Hyoscyamine is used medically as the levorotatory isomer of racemic atropine and as an anticholinergic alkaloid.
