Marburg virus

An RNA-containing virus in the family Filoviridae that causes an acute and often fatal disease characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, fever and mental confusion in humans. It was first identified from severe outbreaks in Marburg, Germany and near the Ebola River in Zaire.
