This is a class of drug (about 25 of them) which shares the common property of being: analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory by way of interfering with the synthesis of prostaglandins. These drugs are used for the treatment of arthritis, fever, and pain due to arthritis, menstruation, and injury.
