aldrin
A chlorinated organic insecticide whose use and manufacture has been banned in the U.S. (but not all other contries have followed suit). The chemical can poison via skin contact, ingestion or inhalation; symptoms include kidney damage, shaking, slurred speech, convulsions, respiratory failure, and death. Chronic exposure to non-lethal doses of aldrin can cause liver damage and probably cancer. Selected aldrin links:
