This is a potent anti-fungal drug. Its route of administration is usually by intravenous injection for severe and life-threatening body infection, aerosol for lung fungal infection and irrigation of the bladder. This drug has many frequently and severe side effects. It is poorly eliminated by the body and therefore should be used as a last resort.
