The pressure of blood in a blood vessel: arterial presssure: systolic pressure is the peak pressure during each heart cycle. Diastolic pressure is the minimum pressure during each heart cycle. the mean arterial pressure: is the average pressure throughout the entire cardiac cycle. the pulse pressure: the difference between the systolic and diastolic pressures. venous pressure: central venous pressure is the blood pressure at the entrance of the superior vena cava into the right atrium of the heart.
