chemokine
A chemokine is a type of cytokine (a soluble molecule that a cell produces to control reactions between other cells) that specifically alters the behavior of leukocytes (white blood cells). Examples include interleukin 8, platelet factor 4, melanoma growth stimulatory protein, etc. Selected chemokine links:
