clinical chemistry
This is the use of laboratory chemistry techniques to aid in the diagnosis or treatment of diseases and disorders. Clinical chemistry techniques can involve such things as testing blood or urine for the presence of certain biomolecules or metabolites, therapeutic drug monitoring, etc. See also immunology, hematology, toxicology, nutrition, and endocrinology.
