Ejaculation is a two-part spinal reflex that involves: movement of semen into the urethra in response to signals from the internal pudendal nerves (afferent), and hypgastric nerves (efferent), and propulsion of the semen out of the urethra by contraction of the bulbocavernosus muscle in response to signals from the sacral roots and the internal pudendal nerves.
