glycogenolysis
The breaking down, or catabolism, of the polysaccharide glycogen into molecules of the sugar glucose and molecules of glucose 1-phosphate within the body by enzymes. The enzymes are controlled by nerve impulses and hormones. Selected glycogenolysis links:
