hemomonochorial placenta
A hemomonochorial placenta is a type of hemochorial placenta (placenta where the chorion, or membrane enclosing the fetus, comes in direct contact with the mother's blood) where a single layer of trophoblast tissue separates the mother's blood from the blood capillaries of the fetus.
