intravenous pyelogram
IVP is an x-ray study of the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra after a radiopaque (iodinated) dye is injected intravenously. The IVP dye is excreted by the kidney, thus enables one to identify the presence of malformations, infections, tumors, obstructions, and stones. Selected intravenous pyelogram links:
