intrinsic factor
An intrinsic factor is a substance secreted by the parietal cells of the stomach lining for the absorption of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin). Pernicious anemia results in the case of an autoantibody against the parietal cells and the intrinsic factor. Selected intrinsic factor links:
