microcephaly
Microcephaly is the condition of having an abnormally small head (circumference smaller than 2 standard-deviations of the mean for age and sex). The condition results in mental retardation. The causes include: chromosomal abnormalities, infections, placental insufficiency, and metabolic disorders. Selected microcephaly links:
