mycobacteria
A family of Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacteria that normally live in acidic conditions (soil, water, and dairy products); they include the bacteria that cause leprosy (Mycobacterium leprae) and tuberculosis (Mycobacterium tuberculosis). Selected mycobacteria links:
