tarsus
Tarsus of the eyelid: this is a band of dense connective tissue next to the palpebral conjunctiva; there are meibomian bodies in the tarsus. Tarsus of the foot: is the collection of 7 bones between the distal tibia and fibula and the metatarsus of the foot; the instep. The 7 bones are talus, calcaneus, cuboid, navicular, and 3 cuneiforms.
