Our Privacy Commitment

Healthboard is an informational directory and does not constitute a “Covered Entity” under HIPAA in most direct user interactions, as we do not persistently store protected health information (PHI). Where we do temporarily process health-related data to provide services, we are committed to handling that information responsibly and in accordance with applicable law.

Information We May Process

When you use Healthboard to search for providers, we may process general health interest data (such as specialty searches) for the immediate purpose of returning relevant results. We do not retain sensitive health information after your session ends.

If you create an account and submit a review, that review is associated with your account and stored as part of your user record. Reviews do not require disclosure of personal health details.

How We Use Health-Related Data

• Service delivery — to match your search queries with relevant provider listings
• No marketing use — we do not use health-related search data for advertising or marketing
• No sale of data — we do not sell, trade, or transfer personally identifiable health information to third parties

Third-Party Services

Healthboard uses third-party services including Mapbox for location-based search. Location data shared with these services is governed by their respective privacy policies and is used solely to provide the requested functionality.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and secure database storage. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is 100% secure. We encourage users to exercise caution when sharing personal information online.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request information about what data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your account data
• Restrict your use of features that involve data sharing (e.g., location search)
